Golden State Warriors’ New Alt Jerseys
So the Warriors are winning these days. David Lee is an allstar reserve, Stephen Curry is an allstar snub, Mark Jackson is in the running for Coach of the Year, and Andrew Bogut is back from injury. All this plays a part in why Lawrence Norman, adidas’ vice president of global basketball, said this was the right time, team, and city to try something like this.
The team linked up with adidas to try an experiment: uniforms with sleeves. These tighter unis, which are 26% lighter than the current Revolution 30 basketball jerseys that adidas introduced to the league just a couple seasons ago, will cost $300 to fans, but more importantly it’ll be interesting to see how they impact the league. It could potentially open the door to other teams adopting the look/design as well for future uniform designs.
