Google Killing Off More Products - Remember a couple of years ago when Google Wave was the ‘new hype’? The invites-only situation just made people more interested. Of course, when people actually played with it, they really didn’t know what to do with it. Flashforward to today, Google is officially burying it on April 30th 2012. That isn’t the only thing going within the next few months:
Google Bookmark Lists
Google Friend Connect
Google Gears
Google Search Timeline
Google Wave
There are actually a couple more, but whatever. Now that Google has found success in Android OS, Google Chrome and Google+ (over 40 million users), putting time and effort into other smaller projects is less of a priority. Google Music is probably safe for the near future, since they were smart to integrate it with Android’s Music Store.
